Undead Nightmares, Reviewed

Nothing beats the good ol’ classic carcus carving westerns.
Red Dead Redemption Is a must buy for all the zombie lovers out there.
It is basically just Red Dead Redemption with zombies, which personally I think is a awesome combination. Sorta like if you crossed L4D and GTA.

The story follows John Marston who must traverse the zombie infested map in search of a cure for the virus in order to save his son and wife. Throughout the game you encounter characters from the original of Red Dead Redemption story and need to help them with their problems.

Once the storymode is complete the game is still enjoyable as you are still able to go from town to town helping the survivors fight off undead hordes, Or you can search for mythical beasts.
There is also an online mode that allows you and a team to take on horde after horde of zombies. It is sort of like the Call of Duty ‘Nazi Zombies’ mini-game however much better as you aren’t confined to certain rooms, Instead you are in an open outside graveyard.
Undead Nightmares also has the classic online modes of the original Red Dead Redemption.

The controls for the game are very simple and easy to adjust to. The gameplay is, as id have guessed before even playing it, very similar to the original. An interesting feature which is included however is a slow motion target lacing way of shooting which allows you to move your aim over multiple targets and decide where to shoot them, This ads an epic Matrix-like feel to the game, Theres nothing more satisfying than killing a whole row of zombies in one sweeping motion.

The graphics throughout the game are great, No matter which enviroment you are in, From the wintery forests in the north of the map to the mexican deserts in the south, everything looks exactly like it should. Even the blood-splattered monsters look erily good. The scale of the game is excellent too, However I don’t think it is as large as Rockstars’ Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Personally the only other 3rd person veiw game that I can think of right now that beats Undead Nightmare for graphics is Metal Gear Solid 4.

The main story of the game isnt the longest, about 10 hours gameplay max I’d say, but the is alot of side missions and strangers that you can help along the way which can stretch it out a little more.
It can also get a bit repetitive when your just killing zombies, doing missions and after a while it can just get boring, but thats after a while, a long while, a long awesome while.
So to sum up. Buy. Complete. Terrorize zombies a bit more. Sell.
