First modem of the month for 2011.
Gayle was a bit late with it this month, I can only assume this is her just sobering up from hogmanay. Waking up with a hangover tangled in a pile of christmas tree lights surrounded by USB lava lamps and empty Tennants cans.
This month shes chosen the NZXT Phantom case.

I quite like this case, it has some pretty high performance cooling options with 7 fan cooling options, dual radiator support, watercooling cutouts and five 20w per channel fan controls. Plus its a big case, and its quite, as Gayle would say “pretty”.
Lets see what she has to say about it:
When I first saw this case my first thoughts were “oooooohhh, thats pretty” and it reminded me of that time I saw penguins on TV, it sort of looks like it could be a transformer that would transform into a penguin, that would be pretty cool to see.
I like how it hides the bit I put CD’s in, I would probably forget where it was tho and end up thinking there isnt one on it at all, I’d need to put a postit note on the front to remind me where Ricky Martin goes in.
The only thing I dont like is that the top looks slanted, like the roof of my house. I wouldn’t be able to sit my mug of cider on it, or any of my USB lava lamps, they would just slide off.
Theres buttons on the top to control the fans, I think thats pretty futuristic, and they are a pretty blue colour when you press them.
I don’t have any cool buttons on my modem, theres a big bit on the front that says “Dell” that looks like it could be a button, but I’ve tried pressing it and it doesn’t do anything
Over all, yes I do want this case please.
So, uhh, yeah. Computery Gayle has listed some good points about this case, and some not so relevent bad points, and has awarded it her Modem of the Month award. I wonder what February will have in store…
